Vancouver based (well, actually White Rock) "eco designer", Eileen Wosnack, has a new mission. With the opening of her organic home store, which houses Spirit Interior Design, an organic interiors company, Eileen means to bring together beauty and style with "green" design.

Eclectrix™ Organic Home was first conceived about a dozen years ago, though at that time options for natural interiors were limited and the opening of the store was put on hold until this year.

The name Eclectrix™, invented for the new natural store, was derived from the word eclectic meaning of varied tastes and tricks, in this case, the tricks being that the materials are environmentally friendly. Now stunning style interpreted through organic and sustainable materials, can be experienced at the new store.

Eileen is also adept at designing residential interiors with eco materials and creating draperies, furniture and bedding with fabrics of organic cotton, bamboo, silks (especially wild or "peace" tussah silks), soy and organic blends. Her upholstered pieces are FSC wood, organic latex foam, organic wool and cotton and are finished with color grown cottons or designer eco fabrics carried at her store, including the new designer Oliveira Textiles from New York city.
